EMERGENCY IN LEBANON

The humanitarian crisis in Lebanon is reaching critical levels, with the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, starting on September 23, devastating large areas of the country, especially in the South, the Bekaa Valley, and Beirut. The death toll now exceeds 2,100 people, with more than 10,000 injured and 1.2 million internally displaced. The families, children, and communities affected by this terrible emergency urgently need assistance.

FMSI has decided to launch a fundraising campaign to support the Fratelli Project, which, in coordination with the Fratelli Council, has chosen to remain operational despite the risks, to continue its mission of supporting the community in need. This commitment has become essential to provide a minimum of relief and dignity to those affected by the conflict.

The current activities of the Fratelli Project include:

• A daily educational space where around 50 children find a calm and safe environment, play, and receive a snack.
• Family visits to listen to their needs and provide psychological and social support.
• Distribution of humanitarian aid (mattresses, food, and hygiene supplies) to alleviate the suffering of displaced families.
