The 2023 Annual Report of FMSI offers an in-depth analysis of the Foundation, including its Mission and Vision, the history of the last 16 years, a focus on some projects carried out in 2023 and on the Advocacy and Child Rights Unit, the stakeholder map, and the financial data of the fiscal year 2023. During the year, FMSI completed 73 educational and solidarity projects in 24 countries. These projects aimed to ensure equitable access to quality education for 21.137 boys and girls, to raise awareness among 10.828 children, youth, and adults about their rights and to strengthen their capacity to defend them, as well as emergency interventions which benefited 25.986 people. In 2023, the Foundation organized a fundraising campaign that raised 470.275,95 Euros for the Syrian population severely affected by the earthquake in February of the same year. The beneficiaries, mainly children and young people in vulnerable situations, were at the heart of all the activities and decisions taken by the Foundation in 2023. The 2022 Bilancio Sociale is an analysis of the FMSI key points: Mission and Vision, a stakeholder map, FMSI history in the past 15 years, a focus on some of our Projects and on the Advocacy and Child Rights Unit, as well as financial data from Fiscal Year 2022. During 2022, FMSI implemented 52 educational and solidarity interventions in 28 Countries worldwide. That includes providing equity of access to quality education to 17.132 children, making 5.333 children and individuals more aware of their rights and empowered to defend them, implementation of emergency project for the benefit of 32.052 individuals. Through it all, our beneficiares – mainly children in vulnerable conditions – have been the focus of everything we have done and every decision we have made.

During 2021, FMSI continued its commitment to provide uncompromising support to all children in vulnerable circumstances, in order to guarantee their fundamental right of access to education, participation and justice. Through its Projects, the Foundation strengthened local communities through empowerment, prioritising interventions related to education and children’s rights.

The first FMSI Bilancio Sociale has the aim of providing an overview of the work done during 2020 by the Foundation. At this difficult time for the world, FMSI continues with its commitment to all activities in favour of children and young people, many of whom still do not enjoy their childhood to the full. Our presence at the United Nations was significant. FMSI actively participates in the Universal Periodic Review and Human Rights mechanisms.
