On December 10, 1948 at the United Nations General Assembly in Paris, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was signed to proclaim that all human beings have the same rights regardless of race, color, religion, gender, political opinion, origin or any other particular condition of existence.

On this important day we would like to thank the young Marists who, once again this year, have participated – in New York and Geneva at the UN headquarters – in the defence of human rights, in particular with the campaign ‘Empower those who have no voice’.

Being agents of change and contributing to the protection of the human rights of children by promoting their growth, culture and integration into society, remains the guiding inspiration of all Marist communities around the world.
