The GLOBAL MARIST FAMILY FUND FOR HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCIES is an initiative of the General Administration designed to respond to humanitarian crises by providing basic human needs, including food, potable water, health assistance, and shelter materials, to the Marist Missions affected by emergencies and natural disasters.
The General Council approved this initiative during the plenary session of June 2020 to address emerging humanitarian needs within the Marist community.
FMSI, as the NGO of the General Administration of the Institute of the Marist Brothers, supports the Marist Missions in drafting and submitting proposals aimed at addressing these emerging needs. All proposals, which must be signed and approved by the Brothers Provincial/District Superiors, will then be forwarded to the General Council.
Applicants will be notified of whether their application has been approved or rejected. If approved, they will receive instructions for implementing and reporting on the project.
If your country has been affected by a humanitarian emergency and natural disaster, and your Marist Mission is in need of support please download the application form here: EN – ES – FR – PT.
